ICEcore is the first Open Source project to fully integrate team workspaces and real-time conferencing in a single, integrated collaboration environment. It provides all the tools knowledge workers demand most — blogs, wikis, discussion threads, workflow, document management, file stores, RSS feeds and more. ICEcore helps organizations achieve true collaboration and transform social networking into a competitive advantage. In addition, by using ICEcore Conference users can take advantage of ICEcore’s “presence” feature, team members can check if people are available, then meet using instant messaging to examine content, discuss issues, and reach consensus. ICEcore Team is a JSR168 compliant portlet that runs in the Liferay Portal Server and uses many open source components such as Java, Hibernate, Spring, MySQL, and many others. The ICEcore Conference Server is a C and C++ application that integrates with all major IM clients and also supports Real-time application sharing and presence indicators in the ICEcore Team product. ICEcore Conference is also built on popular open source software such as wxWidgets, openssl, and Jabber.
